Comprehensive revitalisation and repositioning of a hybrid shopping complex in Ahrensfelde, on the outskirts of Berlin. Originally opened in 1994, the shopping complex including several major specialty retailers was extensively rebuilt into a modern, family-oriented gathering centre with a food court spanning approx. 1,200 sq.m., additional green and event spaces, and a 14-meter-long indoor slide for children. The existing retail offerings were significantly expanded, with new tenants of top credit quality such as H & M, dm-drogerie market, Decathlon, Douglas and Olymp & Hades. The new “feel good” atmosphere in the shopping complex was further boosted through an appealing new colour scheme and design concept. Thanks to this top-to-bottom revitalisation, Kaufpark Eiche today combines shopping and leisure activities in an architecturally appealing setting.
